Yet I still miss Scotland! Enter Sue-Ellen Welfonder. From her bio
Sue-Ellen Welfonder is a card-carrying Scotophile whose burning wish to make frequent (free) trips to the land of her dreams led her to a twenty year career with the airlines. Bi-lingual, she flew international all those years, working her flights as foreign language speaker. Her flying career allowed her to see the world, but it was always to Scotland that she returned.

Sue-Ellen's hands on research tempt us with a medieval romance in TEMPTATION OF A HIGHLAND SCOUNDREL:
The second book in the Highland Warriors trilogy…
Three proud warriors locked in a struggle for victory.
Three beguiling women united in their vow to restore peace.
Despite an official peace, old conflicts smolder in the Glen of Many Legends. Kendrew Mackintosh, Chieftain of his clan, is famed as both a bold and hot-blooded warrior and a sensual lover. He has no intention of settling down . . . until he kisses a forbidden beauty whose passion matches his own.
Highborn and gently raised, Lady Isobel Cameron has long harbored a secret fascination for the fearless, charismatic Mackintosh—even though her brother is his sworn enemy. When destiny draws them together for one night, she can’t resist him. But what begins as a flirtation soon becomes a fight for survival. A deadly new threat has come to the glen, and Kendrew and Isobel must learn to trust and protect one another—or pay the ultimate price.

I love Alba's comment. I agree 100%! I even saved the picture you have of Alex and sent it to my teen daughter who's in love with him. She and I both appreciate a fine man in a kilt! Lucky for us, the city we live in hosts a very large Irish Festival every year and we get to see lots of fine forms in kilts. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely food. I live to eat instead of eat to live. :P

Looks like I'm going to follow the crowd and say that food tempts me. Which is why I'm always dieting. ;o)
ReplyDeletePlease do not enter me in the giveaway!
Food most definitely temps me. I really like barbecue food (sizzling steaks on a grill and juicy chicken wings) and submarine sandwiches. So many ways to make a delicious sandwich.
ReplyDeleteWhat tempts me? Kilts, gaelic, cheesecake

Pizza, the Hawaiian variety. :D

Books...can't resist them! However, food and chocolate are also essential and you can't talk about Hawaiian temptations and not include pineapple, shave ice and sitting watching the sunsets!
ReplyDeleteELF

Food is my temptation like most of the others..lol cheesecake and carbs. Books is also a big temptation I can't pass by a shelf in a store without seeing whats in.. and usually end up purchasing atleast one.

Good food tempts me. I'm a big chocolate and cheese fan too. And I also love fried foods and all things potato (mashed, fried, baked, etc.). A good romance novel also tempts me lol!
ReplyDeleteChocolate. Like, big time. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat tempts me about food is cooking home cooked meals and great desserts and watching my family enjoy eating the fruits of my labor.
ReplyDeleteAs a juvenille diabetic eating just about anything that taste's good isn't allowed - think twigs and nuts and that's my diet!
But alas I love to cook and my husband is Italian so he loves to eat - the one thing both my boys inherited from him. I love to bake cheery covered homemade cheesecake that's rich, dense and creamy and watching the whole family gathered at the holidays eating the fruits of my labor. I love that I can cook rich food that is good for you with fresh fruits and veggies and that my family will eat just about everything (would you believe that when they were young my sons couldn't believe that everyone didn't think that take-out or restaurrant food was a sin to eat.
The other reason is that food might have taken us to the table where we ate every night when they were growing up but it was a time to sit and talk and find out about what was going on in their lives. Even when they were young they had to come up with "something we didn't know) whether it was something that happened in school or a fun-fact. Needless to say they are both big readers - after all they had to come up with something every night!
When I think about food I think about family gathered together sharing and growing together.
Oh yes, men in kilts tempt me like no other ;) But so does chocolate. Yum!
ReplyDeletemy biggest temptation is books! i could have $5 to my name and you could bet its going towards a book. :P I cant resist the temption of a yummy looking and sounding book!
