Aloha to Braxton Cosby and THE STAR CROSSED SAGA: PROTOSTAR

Aloha! If you are having difficulty leaving a comment, send the comment to me at sos.aloha@yahoo.com. I'll post it for you. I don't know why you may be experiencing problems - I've had a few reports from other readers. I encourage you to use Google Chrome as an Internet Explorer.

On this day in 2005,  DEEP IMPACT launched from Cape Canaveral to study the composition of the interior of Comet 9P/Tempel.

On this day in 2007, Comet C/2006P1 became the brightest comet in more than 40 years.

Hence, we have a space spotlight today on Braxton Cosby's THE STAR CROSSED SAGE:  PROTOSTAR:

It Starts With Choice! What would you choose: love or irrefutable duty? On the brink of Civil War, the Torrian Alliance continues with its mission to obliterate Star-children across the universe in order to suppress an intergalactic evil. Following the recommendations of his Council, King Gregorio Derry has agreed to send his only son on a mission to restore honor to his family. Bounty Hunter Prince William Derry has crossed thousands of light-years to planet Earth in order to fulfill this age old prophetic practice.

The quiet days of Madisonburg, Tennessee are officially over as Sydney Elaine now knows the full meaning of the phrase 'Be careful what you wish for' when she is confronted by this strange visitor. As an unforeseeable event delays his assassination, William decides to study his target more closely and begins to form a 'connection' with Sydney that challenges his inner being. But this conflict is the least of his problems, as a conspiracy back on his home planet Fabricius threatens the lives of those he loves and his father's royal legacy. Along with that, he must unravel a hidden menace on Earth that threatens both his and Sydney's safety. Will William be able to complete his mission or will he choose love, sacrificing everything he stands for?

The author is equally intriguing:

Braxton A. Cosby is a dreamer with a vision of continuously evolving and maximizing the untapped potential of the human spirit. Braxton received a lot of his inspiration from watching the accomplishments and exploits of his famous uncle, comedic legend Bill Cosby. A physical therapist by background, Braxton received his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate from the University of Miami, where he competed in track and field. Braxton's fascination of science grew into an obsession of Sci-fi and on one unassuming Sunday, this self-proclaimed romantic decided to pursue a 'calling' to create a new genre of writing- Sci-Fance. Braxton lives in Georgia with his wife and two children. He believes that everyone should pursue joy that surpasses all understanding and live each day as if it were the last.

  4. I love that book cover, I think it really it really tells that the book has something to do with space. I know I am not alone when I say that I believe we are not the only sentient beings in the universe.

  5. Congrats on the new book. The cover is really cool. My husband should have majored in astronomy when he was in college. He loves the subject (that and phsyics). He's always watching some astronomy/space exploration/physics shows on the science channel. And I must admit, I do find some of it pretty fascinating too. If I had a chance to travel in space I would go for it.

  6. I grew up watching science fiction. Twilight Zone is probably still my all time favorite. And all the Star Treks, especially the old ones. I think there is so much for us to learn out there, so much we don't know. Such possibilities. And I really enjoy writers that have such wonderful imaginations.

  7. Can't say that I'm a reader of Science Fiction, but I certainly wish Mr. Cosby much luck and success. The blurb sounds interesting. i do like his term "Sci-France"!!

In 2010, my husband and I got to go to the Johnson Space Center in Houston. We chose the Level 9 Tour which is a bit more in depth. The day we were there, the space shuttle Atlantis was due to lift off. As a result, a lot of places were restricted. Our tour director was able to get us into watch the lift off with the employees of Johnson Space Center - the very people who made and tested the shuttle. I can't tell you what an emotional experience that was and one I will remember for a very long time.
