  1. Happy New Year!

    Congrats to all the winners!

I, too, will be losing weight, by watching what I eat (less carbs, more veggies) and exercising (longer walks with hand weights). I just need to lose 5 to 10 pounds, weight that I accumulated since I tore a muscle in my leg this summer (and then eating my mother's cooking during the holidays).

  3. Congrats to all the winners! Great resolutions, Kim. In past 2 years I have lost ~35 pounds & now I am at my perfect weight. The most important is to eat healthy, not to diet & replace usual snacks with vegetables & fruits.

  4. Happy New Year and big congrats to all winners!

I definitely want to loose weight, because I gained a lot of pounds again due to the darned medicine I have to take at the moment. Would be okay if it worked, but it isn't so. So I gain weight but no health improvement:(

  6. Happy New Year to all!

    Congrats to the winners!

Weight loss for me is a never ending battle, but I find it's more of a lifestyle change. So I resolve to move (exercise) more. And I hate to exercise. UGH! So whatever it may take, that's my resolution - to move it, move it!

  9. I'm with you, Kim. I'd love to lose weight. My new resolution is to actively move my body in some form of exercise at least twice a week. I'm probably going to try a yoga class once or twice a week.

  10. Congratulations, winners.

Is there anyone that doesn't need to lose some weight (sigh). Eating yogurt for breakfast helps keep me full until dinner. I should probably have one before dinner though lol. I need to get to my clutter. My husband promised to build me some shelves if I did (easier said than done but great incentive).

I'm on the lose weight wagon too Kim. I need to exercise more often and eat more fruits and veggies. I also need to write more.

  12. I don't make resolutions anymore. I don't see the point in making a resolution for a goal I know I won't keep. lol I stopped the whole dieting thing years ago and decided just to be happy with what I have...I always liked that bumper sticker that said...I didn't climb to the top of the food chain to eat salad. lol

    Congratulations to all the winners.

  14. Kim -

I'm thrilled I won the Highgrove Calendar! The end of the year has been so hectic that I hadn't picked up a 2012 calendar yet so the timing is perfect!

Best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful New Year!

  16. Happy New Year Kim!

My New Year's resolution is to loose weight, exercise more and to keep track of all of the books I've actually read through the year. I've done a horrible job keeping track this last year so I don't know if I read as much in 2011 as I did in 2010 and my goal is to read more each year...lol

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. Happy New Year!!!! Many blessings and best wishes for 2012.

    Congrats winners!!!!!

I don't really do resolutions but I've decided to make some changes ;) There's a difference, small, but it keeps me from slacking off. 1) I will not work as much and spend more time with friends, and loved ones. 2) I will make time to read!!! and I will not buy any more books until I reduce my TBR pile (physical and electronic) by half. I'm gonna accomplish these goals! :)

  21. Happy New Year, everyone! Congratulations to all the winners, too.

The only resolution I'm making is to have as much fun as I can in 2012.

I will be following my daughter's 'diet' (which addresses her food allergies and is also anti-inflamatory - she's got mild arthritis in one of her knees) as a means of showing support.

It's going to be a great year!

  25. I don't make New Year resolutions. I have in the past, only to break them & then feel bad.

  26. Congrats to all the winners!

I really don't make New Year resolutions. However, I do try to eat right. I'm a vegetarian. I also try to exercise. I've started going to exercise and yoga classes.
I'm also making an effort to organize my books so it is easier to find the ones I want.

  27. Hoping to loose that 10 lbs again in 2012. lol
Eat fresh fruits, veggies and fiber to really help in the diet. I love crush pineapple (with out extra sugar and syrup), grated carrots and chopped almonds to get my sweet fix. Also watch your salt. Look at ingredients and be amazed at the salt in prepared foods. Of course sweets only when you are dying..lol..then only 1 or 2 cookies as a special treat.

    Congrats to all the winners.
