“When the day shall come that we do part," he said softly, and turned to look at me, "if my last words are not 'I love you'-ye'll ken it was because I didna have time.”
― Diana Gabaldon

My favorite quote used to be my signature for my emails until I changed it. It was: Don't be afraid of the dark, but rather that which the darkness hides.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote is from Western humorist Will Rogers: "Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote: "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."~ Harriet Tubman
ReplyDeleteThese are all great quotes. I think one of my fav's is, Love doesn't make the world go round, love makes the ride worthwhile
ReplyDeleteCongrats everyone!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote of a different sort is from Steel Magnolias: "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit by me!"
A lovely quote that I discovered through author LK Hunsaker:
ReplyDelete"Die when I may, let it be said by those who knew me best that I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow."--Abraham Lincoln

ReplyDeleteI love quotes. Here is one of my favorites: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you
didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away

Discover."

Congrats winners. I tend to collect quotes but here is one of my favorites....
ReplyDelete...faith isn’t about perfect attendance to services, or how much money you put on the little plate. It isn’t about going skyclad to the Holy Rites, or meditating each day upon the divine.
Faith is about what you do. It’s about aspiring to be better and nobler and kinder than you are. It’s about making sacrifices for the good of others--even when there’s not going to be anyone telling you what a hero you are.
Faith is a power of its own, and one even more elusive and difficult to define than magic. (Jim Butcher, Changes)
THANK YOU!!
ReplyDelete"To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often. " Winston Churchill
A truly fascinating & brilliant man & I find many of his quotes to ring so true.
Congrats to the winners.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I'm full of "isms". One of my favorites:
Housework won't kill you, but then again, why take the chance.
- Phyllis Diller
"You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take."
ReplyDeleteI love quotes and have many faves. This one has been a very long-time favorite from my teen years:
ReplyDelete"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the beat which he hears, however measured or far away." Henry David Thoreau
