Tracey is celebrating the release of A LADY'S REVENGE, Book One in the Nexus Series:
A British agent flees her French captor’s torturous dungeon and falls in love with the decoder responsible for her imprisonment.
British agent Cora deBeau has spent the last three years seducing secrets from the most hardened of French spies while searching for her parents’ killer. When her latest assignment goes awry, she suffers at the hands of her French captor until Guy Trevelyan, the Earl of Helsford and master cryptographer, saves her during a daring rescue. Scarred and wary of men, Cora shies away from the one man who could heal her savaged heart.
After rescuing Cora from a French dungeon, Guy discovers it was one of his deciphered messages that led to her captivity. Guy strives to earn her forgiveness while outwitting their enemy. But will he find the scars on her wounded soul run too deep?

Congrats to Tracey on her debut release. I'm a fan of the Bond movies and the British show The Avengers about Emma Peel and John Steed.
ReplyDeleteBesides the spies from the Joanna Bourne books I would also say Bond, James Bond!
ReplyDeleteI love James Bond. I have all the movies
ReplyDeleteJames Bond is the ultimate spy to me and have always been my favorite !
ReplyDeleteI love the Bourne triology.
ReplyDeleteHope that you're having fun at the convention!!!!
ReplyDeleteI might be among the few, but I really like Mr. and Mrs. Smith for spy movies and Lord and Lady Spy for book.
I love spy stories. My favorite would have to be James Bond. Love Sean Connery and Roger Moore, they were my favs. Some other good spy movies and TV shows are Mission Impossible and Chuck. I also have read some good books with spies in them, like Lord & Lady Spy by Shana Galen and Sabrinia Jeffries How Too Woo a Reluctant Lady.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway. Would love to win and read this book by Tracey. She is a new author for me.

I'm partial to amateurs who stumble into, and triumph against, professional spies, such as John Craig in Double Image by Helen MacInnes.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Connery as Bond is not bad. But Heineken rather than martinis in the upcoming Bond film?
Nothing could compare to Scarecrow and Mrs. King~ Loved that show!! Has to be my favorite spy movie.
ReplyDeleteJulia Quinn had some fun spies.
Some shows I used to enjoy were The Saint with Roger Moore (I even liked the movie with Val Kilmer) and even The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan. Raonaid, my daughter is an avid Scarecrow and Mrs. King fan and is just waiting for season four to be released so she can add it to her collection.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the Bourne movies more than I do the Bond movies. I love Daniel Craig as the new Bond but I love that Jason Bourne could improvise and make anything into a deadly weapon (ballpoint pen!).

Although I enjoy the Bond and Bourne movies, I'm with Erin on Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spy will always be James Bond.
ReplyDeleteI like the Bourne movies and the Bond movies. As a young girl, I read about Confederate spy Rose O'Neal Greenhow and I remember thinking how exciting and brave I found her.
ReplyDeleteThe Mrs. Pollifax series by Dorothy Gilman is good.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Bond and his gadgets. The Bourne trilogy of movies is very good too. Although, Bourne is more of an assassin than a spy. I also have to include the Mission Impossible films.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Tracey on her release of A Lady's Revenge.
ReplyDeleteI normally read historical release but Tracey's book sounds like a fun twist of a little romance/a little intrigue!
My favorite spy is Maxwell Smart! Okay so today a shoe phone wouldn't be a big deal but when Maxwell Smart was the "spy" it sure was a lot of fun to watch!
Congratulations to Stacy on her writing debut and first publication! A Lady's Revenge sounds great. I would have to go old school and say that my favorite spy is James Bond - but I'll go even further and say the James Bond as portrayed by Daniel Craig.....I can't wait for the new movie that will come out either at the end of this year or beginning of next year in the series - Skyfall! Thanks for the contest and giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am with some of the others. My favorite in recent years movie was Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Great, funny movie about 2 spies married to each other, each not knowing about the other at first. Definitely makes you LOL!
ReplyDeleteooo, spies in regency England. I enjoy a good spy romance, they're so dangerously sexy ;) grew up watching westerns & spies as a kid. Occasionally catch an old episode of some of those spy shows from the 50-70's (ie: the saint, mission impossible, i spy) on the oldies stations & find myself watching again
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Tracey on her debut. I love spy stories. My all time favorite was James Bond (Sean Connery). I also really enjoyed the Jason Bourne series.

So the Bourne trilogy is honestly the first series that I prefer in movie format, gasp I know! But the books just didn't flow for me. Though I do love the movies, the lead actor doesn't hurt =)
ReplyDeleteAs for favorite book spy I was pretty fond of Guy Trevelyan! Tracey you wrote one great character!!
(no need to enter me in the drawing, I have been lucky enough to read this great book already. Just having fun commenting)
The only spy that ever rocked my boat was Sean Connery from the James Bond movies. To me, he is the epitome of "a true spy". I haven't had the pleasure of seeing any of the Bourne movies though, so I can't comment on that. I did, however, see Mr. and Mrs. Smith and really enjoyed that movie. I have to say that there's nothing that I like more than reading about spies in a romance book.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Tracey on the releasse of "A Lady's Revenge".
Congrats on your release. I love spy movies. I am a James Bond fan. My favorite is Sean Connery. Love the accent. I also love the Jason Bourne movies. I think it has more to do with his name than anything. :)

I'm not a big movie goer but I do like some of the spies listed.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite book spies are Joanna Bournes Spymasters, wow! Fab giveaway again, enjoy your convention. :)
Have a terrific time at the RT conference. When I think of spies, Joanna Bourne's books definitely come to mind. She creates such witty and intelligent characters. I've read The Forbidden Rose and My Lord and Spymaster and really liked the spies there.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading the James Bond books, I liked Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Saint series, etc.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Saint with Roger Moore. Had the biggest crush on him. Bu Sean Connery was the ultimate spy for me. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Tracy on the Debut novel. Would love to read it.
