Aloha to Amelia Grey and A LITTLE MISCHIEF

Sourcebooks gives romance readers, like myself, to discover the backlists of favorite authors.   I am currently reading historical favorite Amelia Grey's A LITTLE MISCHIEF:

How can a lady avoid a scandal...

Just as Miss Isabella Winslowe is finally achieving comfortable respectability, the fascinating and decidedly unrespectable Earl of Colebrooke inconveniently appears...

When a gentleman is so determined to flirt...

The darkly handsome Daniel Colebrooke is intrigued and alarmed when an alluring young lady arrives at his door in need of assistance. In a moment of impetuosity, Daniel decides he must keep a close watch on Isabella, and what better way than to strike up a not–so–innocent flirtation...

Together they'll cook up more than a little mischief when a disappearing dead body and a lascivious scandal spins their reckless game entirely out of control.

From her website, "Amelia likes flowers, candlelight,
sweet smiles, gentle laughter and sunshine."

I am giving away a print copy of A LITTLE MISCHIEF to one randomly selected commenter.  To enter the giveaway,

1.  Leave a comment about mischief - who conducts the most in your house?  Kids?  Hubby?  Pets?

No doubt it is our cats in my house!

2.  This giveaway is open to all readers.

3.  Comments are open through Sunday, July 29, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Monday, July 30.

Mahalo,

  4. This book looks fabulous - and the cover is very unique with the use of bold colors. Can't wait to read it!
I always got blammed for stuff, but my oldest sister got into the most mischief.

  5. Definitely the kids although my husband comes pretty close!

  6. The kids are long gone, and hubby is a quiet influence, either working hard or napping, so I guess it is down to my cat, Blaze. He follows me into whichever room I am working in, knocks books or papers off the desk when it is time to stop for a kibbles break! Love Amelia Gray's work!

  8. My hubby definitely. I'll be sitting on the computer with my ear buds in and he'll jump around the corner and scare me, making me scream. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm completely insane by now just randomly screaming at all hours of the day and night.

  11. I adopted a 10 week old kitten & she is getting into all kinds of mischief. She ripped the lower half of my curtains. Made dosens of tiny holes in my fav books, she chews on them... Made a large hole in my quilt & pulled out the stuffing from the middle. She always tips over her waterbowl and now the carpet has lots of stains & more of those things. But she's worth it & really cute so I put up with it.

  12. Our two cats. The first one stepped on my mom's birthday cake and the other one jumped inside our refrigerator when my sister opened it to get some food, he also went on top of our computer monitor all wet and the next thing we knew, there was a loud boom and the monitor shut down with smoke coming from it. Actually the list goes on and one. But we love them anyway. :D

  13. Oh, definitely my cats. I've had up to 7 but "only" have 5 right now. Two are newcomers (6 yrs and 2 yrs. old) and it's total chaos since they all don't get along.

    I too enjoy Amelia's books.

  15. The one who causes the most mischief in the house? It's a toss-up between my husband and our Yorkie-Chihuahua. My husband is a born prankster, but has calmed down somewhat since he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer. Our dog (child) thinks she rules the roost. Of course our other 2 dogs (children) let her think so. Lol!

  16. Our cats get into the most mischief and our cat Curious is the worst offender.

  17. It's either the husband or the dog because it certainly can't be me! :)

  20. Thank goodness that my house is now "mischief" free. When my grandson was younger, he was up to mischief constantly. Some of the things that he got up to curled my toes. I miss those little legs running through the house now. He's a big 15 year old now.

  21. I would definitely say it's my youngest sister!

  22. Hi Kim!

In my household our pets have always been more outrageous than our children were when they were young!

Our current mischief maker is Charlie (aka Atilla the cat)! When he was only a few months old he learned how to open our heavy sliding glass kitchen door (which I have a problem opening!). Now that he's "grown up" the mischief hasn't stopped and after my husband added a hook high up on the screen door so he couldn't "escape" during the summer he managed to jump up on the counter, leap up into the air and - you guessed it - un-hook the hook!

His name has now been amended to Charlie (aka Atilla) the escape cat and mischief just waiting to happen!).
