Aloha to Tawna Fenske and GETTING DUMPED - A SCHULTZ SISTERS MYSTERY

Laughter is often the best medicine.   And the best prescription is Tawna Fenske's GETTING DUMPED - A SCHULTZ SISTERS MYSTERY:

Getting Dumped Part 1 is the first installment of an Active Fiction series from Coliloquy. Instead of just watching the story unfold, readers help influence future books by giving their feedback on the heroine's romantic choices.

Losing a cushy marketing job only to end up driving heavy equipment at the landfill would be a tough blow for most women, but not JJ Schultz. She gamely swaps office politics for a chance to crush garbage. But when JJ and her sister, Lori, uncover a counterfeit handbag ring, JJ finds herself unraveling a sinister plot in the company of a tie-tugging accountant, a straight-to-video action hero/secretary, a suspicious but sneaky-hot engineer, and a host of other characters with questionable hygiene and morals.

In GETTING DUMPED, JJ finds treasure at the dump.
Above, I found my own treasure on Sand Island,
which is near a glass recycling facility.

I posted my four star review on Amazon at this link and Goodreads at this link.  I am giving away an ecopy of GETTING DUMPED Part 1 to one randomly selected commenter.  To enter the giveaway,

1.  Leave a comment about what you, as a child, thought you wanted to do when you grew up.

JJ wanted to operate heavy equipment ... so ultimately she realized her dream.  I wanted to be a forest ranger, then an interior designer.  I had no idea I would become a Air Force officer!

2.  This giveaway is open to all readers.

3.  Comments are open through Saturday, July 21, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, July 22.

Mahalo,

Kim in Hawaii

  2. What I wanted to be when I grew up changed a lot (police officer, teacher, journalist), but I always thought about being a writer. In "real life" I have had various jobs, but I still am working on the writer gig.

  6. Difficult question for me. Growing up I was told many, many times that I was too stupid to do anything, so I stopped dreaming about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I got a job and just worked as hard as I could to be very good at it.

  7. I like the cover on this. After watching the PBS series by historian Michael Wood it reminded me that I once wanted to be an archaeologist a far deviation from a paralegal and then an author.

  9. I wanted to be a veterinarian, but my parents pointed out that I couldn't stand to see an animal in pain so how would I ever cope with treating them and seeing them in pain. Wise choice.
