I offer you another Hawaiian proverb today:
Me he lau no ke Ko`olau ke aloha.
Love is like the ends (fingertips) of the Ko`olau breeze.

Margaret Mallory is a breath of fresh air in Scottish romances. She tantalizes readers with The Return of the Highlanders ....
Margaret is celebrating the release of Book Four, THE CHIEFTAIN, on February 26, 2013:
A WARRIOR'S HEART
Connor, chieftain of the MacDonalds of Sleat, holds the fate of his people in his hands. Rival clans are plotting to take over his lands, and duty determines whom he will fight, trust . . . even marry. Seeking guidance, Connor turns to Ilysa, a young lass with the gift of foresight, who reveals an approaching danger-and a passion that burns only for him. But the warrior must make a powerful marriage alliance, and Ilysa's bloodline is far too humble.
With her powers to heal and see evil where others cannot, beautiful Ilysa dresses plainly, speaks softly, and loves her chieftain from afar. Yet when Connor finally stokes the embers of desire that have so long burned within her, Ilysa feels bliss unlike any she's ever known. Now as he is forced to place duty before happiness, Ilysa senses Connor is in grave peril. Can she find a way to prove she is the woman he needs by his side?

It's nice to be sitting outside on a warm day and all of the sudden a cool breeze blows by.
ReplyDeleteI love The Return Of The Highlanders series.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I feel a gentle and warm breeze I immediately surrender all thoughts. I just feel such an overwhelming feeling of Freedom and calm. Don't know why but it's what happens. :)
Thanks for the chance.

Breezes can do so much for you - provide relief from heat is one. Another is talking to you. They have their own sounds.
ReplyDeleteOn a hot summer day they feel so good!!! And cools you off.
ReplyDeleteI always welcome a breeze here in Florida. It's such a lovely relief from the heat here. I just wish that we could get more breezes.
ReplyDeleteWe took our granddaughter up into the mountains this past weekend to see the snow. We live down here in the desert. So when you ask about breezes, my first thought is of this past weekend and freezing my tushie and nose off every time I stepped out into the cold, bitter, freezing breezes of northern Arizona up in the mountains in February. haha

I love them when I am sitting outside in the sun. When a breeze blows by, it takes the edge off the hot. I live in the country, so there is generally a breeze.

thanks for the fun post and congrats to Margaret on the new release! I hate cold breezes in the winter but love them in the spring :) Takes the edge off warm temps and brings fresh air.
ReplyDeleteRelief, as breezes would anyone who has ever sat on a becalmed sailboat on a sweltering day.
ReplyDeleteSpring breezes are wonderful - the first touch of sunshine and the smell of new growth. Or on a beach with the smell of the ocean. I'm very much looking forward to your newest story although I still have to play catch up.
ReplyDeleteI love warm and cool breezes, depending on the time of year it is. I love to feel the breeze in my face. It's especially nice when I am fishing, on a boat, or riding with the hood of the car down.
ReplyDeleteBreezes inspire happiness and lightheartedness in me.
ReplyDeleteBreezes make me think of gardening in the early spring--being hopeful and productive and very comfortable with nature.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to be back at SOS-Aloha! Thank you, Kim, for featuring my Feb. release, THE CHIEFTAIN. Good luck to the commenters.I really appreciate the kind words some of you have made about my books. I hope you LOVE my latest!
ReplyDeleteMargaret
What do I appreciate about breezes? That they freshen the air and provide renewal. They can also bring with them a scent...fresh baked bread, favorite food, coffee in the morning...Usually bringing on a vivid memory :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway Margaret. I have all your Highland Chieftain books and it would be awesome to win one! I adore highland warriors in kilts and a broadsword ;-)

Congrats to Margaret and Sue Ellen on the new releases. I don't know if breezes inspire me, but they do feel great on the skin and bring scents from nature.
ReplyDeleteA cool breeze on a hot day makes me feel happy, since I don't like feeling hot.
ReplyDeleteWhen I close my eyes and think breezes, I remember camping in th UP of Michigan with my late husband.
ReplyDeleteDon't enter my Kim I just wanted to pop in and say hello to Margaret and you. Great post.

ReplyDeleteHave a good one Ann/alba
Thanks for all the congrats on my upcoming release! I know some of you have been waiting through 3 books for Connor & Ilysa's love story. :)
ReplyDeletelove a nice breeze -- it as if they blow away some of the worry & stress & remind me to breath, relax & enjoy life
ReplyDeletePlease don't enter me as I've read this wonderful book. I instantly fell in love with Margaret's writing. She really took me into the story as if I were there. I started at the end but am going to correct that and get the first two in the series (I already have The Warrior) and do this right. Read them straight through. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it, Leah! Hope you enjoy the other 3 in the series. :)
ReplyDeleteI love a nice breeze, especially when the temperature is in the 90's here in Central Florida, they're few and far between. A lovely sea breeze inspires me to think of home in Southern California, growing up near the ocean.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of a breeze, I think of Isis (TV series and DC comic books). She always chanted about the Zephyr wind to give her flight.

I love being in the mountains feeling the breeze. It makes you believe in a higher power.
ReplyDeleteI love both authors! Can't get enough of those Highlanders!
On a beautiful spring/fall day, I love to take my class outside for a few lessons. They are so much more enjoyable.

Breezes make me think of being out in the country.
ReplyDeletefresh air
ReplyDeleteHighlanders...and breezes. Mmmm, what a fun combo! :)
ReplyDeleteI love breezes, they make your clothse look romantic and give you that slightly windblown look. Unfortunately here we have wind gusts, the knock over old ladies type. Not so romantic.
breezes make me want to tilt my head up and inhale - hopefully to small something fresh like flowers or fir trees or the sea.
