Aloha to Scottish Seduction, Part 2: Margaret Mallory's THE CHIEFTAIN

I offer you another Hawaiian proverb today:

Me he lau no ke Ko`olau ke aloha.

Love is like the ends (fingertips) of the Ko`olau breeze.

The Ko'olau Mountains watch over the
Boy Scouts on Chinaman's Hat

Margaret Mallory is a breath of fresh air in Scottish romances.  She tantalizes readers with The Return of the Highlanders ....

Four fearless warriors return to the Highlands to claim their lands and legacies. But all their trials on the battlefield can't prepare them for their greatest challenge yet: winning the hearts of four willful Scottish beauties.

Margaret is celebrating the release of Book Four, THE CHIEFTAIN, on February 26, 2013:

A WARRIOR'S HEART

Connor, chieftain of the MacDonalds of Sleat, holds the fate of his people in his hands. Rival clans are plotting to take over his lands, and duty determines whom he will fight, trust . . . even marry. Seeking guidance, Connor turns to Ilysa, a young lass with the gift of foresight, who reveals an approaching danger-and a passion that burns only for him. But the warrior must make a powerful marriage alliance, and Ilysa's bloodline is far too humble.

With her powers to heal and see evil where others cannot, beautiful Ilysa dresses plainly, speaks softly, and loves her chieftain from afar. Yet when Connor finally stokes the embers of desire that have so long burned within her, Ilysa feels bliss unlike any she's ever known. Now as he is forced to place duty before happiness, Ilysa senses Connor is in grave peril. Can she find a way to prove she is the woman he needs by his side?

  2. I love The Return Of The Highlanders series.
Whenever I feel a gentle and warm breeze I immediately surrender all thoughts. I just feel such an overwhelming feeling of Freedom and calm. Don't know why but it's what happens. :)
    Thanks for the chance.

  5. I always welcome a breeze here in Florida. It's such a lovely relief from the heat here. I just wish that we could get more breezes.

  6. We took our granddaughter up into the mountains this past weekend to see the snow. We live down here in the desert. So when you ask about breezes, my first thought is of this past weekend and freezing my tushie and nose off every time I stepped out into the cold, bitter, freezing breezes of northern Arizona up in the mountains in February. haha

  7. I love them when I am sitting outside in the sun. When a breeze blows by, it takes the edge off the hot. I live in the country, so there is generally a breeze.

  9. Relief, as breezes would anyone who has ever sat on a becalmed sailboat on a sweltering day.

  10. Spring breezes are wonderful - the first touch of sunshine and the smell of new growth. Or on a beach with the smell of the ocean. I'm very much looking forward to your newest story although I still have to play catch up.

  11. I love warm and cool breezes, depending on the time of year it is. I love to feel the breeze in my face. It's especially nice when I am fishing, on a boat, or riding with the hood of the car down.

  15. What do I appreciate about breezes? That they freshen the air and provide renewal. They can also bring with them a scent...fresh baked bread, favorite food, coffee in the morning...Usually bringing on a vivid memory :-)

Thanks for the giveaway Margaret. I have all your Highland Chieftain books and it would be awesome to win one! I adore highland warriors in kilts and a broadsword ;-)

  23. Please don't enter me as I've read this wonderful book. I instantly fell in love with Margaret's writing. She really took me into the story as if I were there. I started at the end but am going to correct that and get the first two in the series (I already have The Warrior) and do this right. Read them straight through. :)

  24. Love it, Leah! Hope you enjoy the other 3 in the series. :)

  25. I love a nice breeze, especially when the temperature is in the 90's here in Central Florida, they're few and far between. A lovely sea breeze inspires me to think of home in Southern California, growing up near the ocean.

  26. When I think of a breeze, I think of Isis (TV series and DC comic books). She always chanted about the Zephyr wind to give her flight.

  30. Highlanders...and breezes. Mmmm, what a fun combo! :)

I love breezes, they make your clothse look romantic and give you that slightly windblown look. Unfortunately here we have wind gusts, the knock over old ladies type. Not so romantic.

  31. breezes make me want to tilt my head up and inhale - hopefully to small something fresh like flowers or fir trees or the sea.
